A Sabbath Jubilee

On this, our fiftieth day of the Blue Box Blog, we proclaim Jubilee!

When Israel entered the Promised Land, the Lord commanded them to rest one day in seven, and one year in seven, with a Jubilee Year at the end of the seventh seven. You can read about it in Leviticus 25.

And as we rest this day, we invite your comments and questions. Are there themes we have not covered that you would like us to explore? Are you wondering about how the Bible impacts a certain aspect of our current situation? Is there a loose end we need to tie up?

If so, just reply to this email. We will not reveal your identity, but we will do our best to address the issue, whatever it may be. After the Sabbath, of course!

You are invited to follow this wise, happy counsel from Psalm 118:24
“This is the day the Lord has made;
Let us rejoice and be glad in it. ”

B

“Father, we are grateful for work, and also for rest, for times of answering and times of questioning. We praise You for all of Your blessings in Jesus. Amen.”
