Shall I read my Bible again?
Are there really new things to find within?
Shall I hear something more about man and his sin?
I have read these stories a hundred times.
What else is there that I could I hope to find?
God’s Word fits on me like an old worn glove.
What more does He have to say about His love?
Yet something tells me to allow God’s Word to illumine my heart.
To allow the wisdom that God will impart.
I tell myself not to open His Word for what is the point?
Then I start to read and it divides marrow and joint.
Believer, hear the call of The Alpha and The Omega, The Beginning and The End,
He has more blessings that He wants to send.
His word is inexhaustible.
His truth cannot be contained.
From the light of His revelation there is no refrain.
Let Him place layer upon layer of His gracious Word upon your heart.
Let Him make you soar like an eagle, as He touches the innermost part.
Don’t believe the lie that there is no more to gain and that there is nothing new under the sun.
The Word became life, the Bible tells of His Son.
When you wake in the morning He will have new mercies to convey.
Humble your heart, receive His Word like a child and be blessed today.
Will God’s Spirit meet with me again as I turn the pages with expectation?
He has promised He will! Read His proclamation!
