“You Missed Me!”

I came to see you

To show you my love

A body was prepared for Me

From my Father above

You should have known Me

Your Creator and King

The one eternal Son

Of whom angels sing

But I was despised and rejected

No beauty to desire Me

You missed what I was doing

When I was hung on that tree

I bore your griefs and carried your sorrows

But you hid your face from Me

How I wept over you

I wanted to set you free

You missed Me my child

You did not see my Father’s will

For it was His desire

To crush Me on that hill

I am coming back

To give my people rest

But for those who esteemed Me not

You will beat upon your breast

For you pierced the One who loved you

My glory you did not see

You missed Me, my child, you missed Me

And to Death and Hades I hold the key.

For Jesus,

Rob
