Super Hero Mania

When I was growing up, my peers and I enjoyed watching shows about super heroes. I even read an occasional comic. I also had a set of figures that I could use to act out scenes of heroism, as I flew Superman in to deal with Lex Luther. My parents never gave me any indications that they were interested in super heroes.

That’s Backwards!

Recently the state of Alabama put forth legislation that will make abortion illegal. One politician in Alabama who opposes the legislation stated, “Alabama is already viewed as a backwards state, this will only make us look more backwards”.

Danger! Danger Rob Ladonne!

This week I was dealing with an inmate that was volatile and unpredictable. A situation quickly arose where I had to make a decision about how to approach this inmate. If I made the wrong choice, things could go really bad. In that moment, I prayed and made a decision, and things worked out. However, I also knew that I was going to have to see that same inmate the next day.

Who is the worst of the worst when it comes to mankind? There are lots of opinions. Some will say that if a person commits a certain type of crime then they fall into this category. Others will differ and say that it is not the commission of a crime, but the repeated commission of a particular offense which qualifies them to be “The Worst of the Worst”. Still others will say that what is in a person’s heart is the determining factor.

Worship? Really?
