Pastor Rob Ladonne,

“God is the author of life so it is no surprise that much of life prompts us to think about Him. In the writings below you will find references to every day experiences that have brought my faith into focus. I hope these writings encourage
you to have a deeper faith in God.”

Dope life

I know this may sound strange but when I am psychologically assessing
someone at the prison, part of my assessment includes considering all the
tattoos they have on their body. Why? Because it is reasonable to conclude
that at some point (even the present), what they allowed their body to be
marked with by way of a tattoo was what they wanted to be known about them.

What does it profit a man?

I am at the age where I am seeing movie stars who I have watched for years
pass away. The other day Lisa and I were watching the movie “Doubt” and

“Being there”

Hi everyone,

I am on vacation this week so I am taking some time to be renewed by The

“My, how you have grown.”

It never fails. When I tell people that I work in a prison they say, “That

Delighting in our insufficiencies

As believers, I can imagine nothing other than expressions of gratitude

Real counsel

Quick note of praise: I believe I have been writing this blog for close to
three years (if not longer). That means well over one hundred writings. It
is often the case that I have no idea what I am going to write about.

Is it possible to be free and in bondage?

After almost nineteen years of working in a prison there is still one thing
I am not used to. Can you guess what it is? It’s imprisoning people. You
would think that after all this time I would have gotten used to the idea of
seeing a human being in a cell.
